I've been making a list of things they don't teach you at school. They don't teach you how to love somebody. They don't teach you how to be famous. They don't teach you how to be rich or how to be poor. They don't teach you how to walk away from someone you don't love any longer. They don't teach you how to know what's going on in someone else's mind. They don't teach you what to say to someone who's dying. They don't teach you anything worth knowing.
[Neil Gaiman, The Kindly Ones]
Happy Tuesday, everyone!
I hope things are going BEAUTIFULLY with you
and Spring is surrounding you with her beauty
and her warmth and her promise of renewal
and things to come.
I'm stressed beyond measure,
honestly & truthfully.
But I'm trying to find time
to focus on all the things
which make me smile
and the things I'm thankful for:
- sunrises over the BP suburbs
- fun Disney songs coming up on my playlists
- silly tweets between bloggy-friends
(and future dates to see Hanson with said friends)
(don't you dare judge us!)
- coffee, coffee, and more delicious coffee
(but not at 8:30PM, thanks Sam!)
- stockpiles of mini Reeses PB Cups and Goldfish
- finishing an amazing book, whose memory is still with me:
The Name of the Wind (P. Rothfuss)
- runs in my Fivefingers
- that this too shall pass
What are you thankful for right now?
What is making you smile?
What do you know that I could add to my list?
Omg, Courtney - the other day Hanson came on shuffle on my iPod in my car and my brother verbally crucified me for it (especially since it came on right after this ridiculously perfect dubstep song, which he said negated my music tastes).
ReplyDeleteThanks for your support with EVERYTHING, my dear friend! You are absolutely lovely and I adore you. xo
