NKOTBSB & 12 Days Of Christmas MashUp

Monday, November 22, 2010

First of all, let’s start with this:

I played that on YouTube this morning and was squeeling and dancing around my room with joy - singing along and everything. I let my inner preteen fangirl come out with abundance, and it was an amazing way to start my morning.

Now, if only we could convince NSync to get back together - my life would be so much happier and more complete!

Also, I’ve decided to jump in and do the 12 Days of Christmas with Aly & Molly. How fun! So, they will be a part of my posts for the next 14 days, and will therefore give me reason and reminder to post daily! Yay!

Day 1: Christmas Traditions

I always feel like my family doesn’t have all that many traditions at Christmas times, but then I get to thinking about things that happen every year that I would miss, and I realize - we do!

For instance, the past few years a tradition has emerged that requires we wait until the last possible minute to put the tree up (with one instance that it wasn’t put un entirely until an hour or so before I went to bed). Obviously this isn’t the ideal situation, however, my parents don’t want to put up the tree until I’m home - and over the past few years I’ve gotten home so late, well, it’s just happened.

Then we go to Church Christmas eve, which is always so pretty. I love the Christmas Eve services - our pastor always reads “‘Twas The Night Before Jesus” which is a really cute take on the traditional “‘Twas The Night Before Christmas.”

And even now, at 25, I wake up at like 3am to go inspect what Santa left behind. And even though I sleep later now than I did when I was younger, you can bet I’m still waking up my parents bright and early and begging to open presents! You can grow older, but growing up is optional!
