What Still Scares You?

Saturday, January 29, 2011

Not much here today
(or since Wednesday, apparently).
Just a lot of school work for this girl.
Oh! Budapest had an earthquake?
Crazy - luckily, not near the district our dorm is in.
Other than doing more school work,
I may go visit a small town outside of Budapest tomorrow.

So, since I am a void of interesting news
I will leave you with this:

I've been listening to my "Disney" playlist a lot lately when I study.
What can I say?
I'm a Disney kid.

But I've come to the realization that some things that scared me when I was little?
They still scare me.

For Example:

How I survived this scene as a child,
is beyond me.

Or:

The SCARIEST movie I have ever seen.
Actually,
I still haven't watched it again since I was small.
(interesting sidefact: NIMH?
National Institute of Mental Health
This movie is about psychology lab rats/mice/etc)
Even watching the trailer has scared me!

What still scares you from when you were little?

  1. Oh my gosh, are those the pink elephants from Fantasia? If so, I can say with 100% certainty that that movie in its entirety still scares the bejeezle out of me.

Oh, and spiders. If it's possible, they actually scare me more now than when I was little. Even someone saying the word "spider" makes me jump. Yeesh!

  4. When I researched for my post on pink today, I found this little gem on wikipedia: "Seeing pink elephants is a euphemism for hallucinations caused by delirium tremens. The concept was used in the Disney's animated film Dumbo when the title character accidentally becomes drunk and sees a parade of pink elephants." CRAZY!

I'm still scared of walking by a glass door at night...I'm afraid someone's peeking in ;)

    Good news, by the way! Your package is on its way...get excited! xoxo {av}
